The annual quiz event, AAGHAAZ, of the Quiz Club under the aegis of the Jamia Cultural Committee, Office of the Dean, Students' Welfare, was held on August 28, 2024, at the FTK-CIT, Jamia Millia Islamia. The event aimed to engage students in a challenging and intellectually stimulating quiz competition, fostering a spirit of learning and academic excellence among participants.
Prof. Dileep Shakya, Convener, Literary, Debating, & Quiz Club, and Prof. Mohammed Kamalun Nabi, Member, Literary, Debating & Quiz Club, Jamia Millia Islamia, graced the occasion as guests of honor. Certificates were presented by the Chief Guest,Prof. Seemi Farhat Basir, Dean Students’ Welfare, Jamia Millia Islamia.
The event received 166 responses, with 110 participants taking part, and 7 finalist teams competing in the final round. The winning teams were: Team Abdullah Ansari & Hamza Khan (1st), Team Rehmat & Anas (2nd), and Team Abhigyan Sandilya & Aleema Khan (3rd).
The quiz event was conducted in a well-organized manner, with active participation from students across various disciplines. The competition comprised multiple rounds, testing participants' knowledge across a range of subjects. The final round featured 7 finalist teams who showcased exceptional quizzing skills.
The AAGHAAZ quiz event was a remarkable success, demonstrating the enthusiasm and academic prowess of the students. The event provided a platform for participants to challenge themselves and engage in intellectual discourse, contributing to the vibrant academic culture at Jamia Millia Islamia. The mentor of Jamia Quiz Club , Prof. Mohammed Kamalun Nabi extends his gratitude to the Honourable Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Dean, Students' Welfare, for their moral support and guidance and members of the organizing committee, as well as participating students for their collective efforts in making the event a success.
