President Droupadi Murmu has extended warm greetings and best wishes to all citizens on the auspicious occasion of Chhath Puja.
In her message, the President said:
“On the sacred occasion of Chhath Puja, I extend my heartfelt greetings and good wishes to all fellow citizens.
During this festival, devotees worship the Sun God and offer Arghya (holy water). The festival symbolizes our gratitude towards nature — we worship rivers, ponds, and pray for the well-being of our families.
Chhath Puja also spreads the message of cleanliness, environmental protection, and social unity. It is a celebration of togetherness, cooperation, and collective participation.
On this pious day, I pray for the happiness and prosperity of all citizens.”
