A review meeting on the preparations for the Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet (GRAM) 2026 was held on Wednesday at the Secretariat under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Mr. V. Srinivas. The Chief Secretary stated that the State Government remains fully committed to strengthening the economic condition of farmers, enhancing agricultural productivity, and positioning Rajasthan’s farmers as leaders in the agriculture sector.
He said that the Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet will enable farmers of the state to gain exposure to modern, world-class agricultural technologies and innovations, helping them adopt smart farming practices and emerge as frontrunners in the agriculture sector. Increased productivity through technology adoption, he added, will directly contribute to higher farm incomes and improved economic stability for farmers.
The Chief Secretary emphasized the importance of inter-departmental coordination for the successful organization of GRAM 2026 and directed departments including Agriculture, Horticulture, Dairy, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Cooperation, Revenue, Industries, and Tourism to work in close collaboration. He also stressed the need for online registration of farmers through a dedicated portal to ensure maximum participation of progressive farmers, enabling them to benefit from the latest technologies and innovations.
Principal Secretary, Agriculture and Horticulture, Ms. Manju Rajpal, made a detailed presentation on the preparations for GRAM 2026 through a PowerPoint presentation. She informed that over 50,000 farmers from across the state are expected to participate in the event. The meet will showcase Rajasthan’s agricultural strengths, capabilities, and future potential, and will be promoted through roadshows at national and international levels.
