
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Bhutan on 17th of this month. During the two-day visit of Mr. Modi, India and Bhutan will explore ways to further strengthen and diversify bilateral partnership. Briefing media about the visit yesterday, Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale said that MOUs in various fields will be signed between the two countries.
Besides, the Prime Minister will also inaugurate a hydropower project and will roll out RuPay Cards. During the visit, the Prime Minister will hold talks with his Bhutanese counterpart Lotay Tshering. Replying to a question, Mr. Gokhale said, India will also review defence and security matters with Bhutan during the visit.
