Fuel prices continued to remain elevated across major Indian cities, with Hyderabad recording one of the highest petrol rates among metro and tier-1 cities at ₹107.5 per litre.
According to the latest fuel price data:
- Pune reported petrol prices at ₹104.84 per litre,
- Jaipur at ₹104.65,
- Mumbai at ₹103.54,
- and Bangalore at ₹102.96 per litre.
Meanwhile:
- Kolkata stood at ₹105.41,
- Chennai at ₹100.84,
- while New Delhi recorded petrol prices at ₹94.77 per litre.
Among states, Andhra Pradesh reported the highest petrol prices at ₹109.04 per litre, followed by Bihar at ₹106.94 and Karnataka at ₹103.62.
On the lower side:
- Arunachal Pradesh recorded petrol prices at ₹92.66,
- while Daman and Diu stood at ₹92.44 per litre.
Fuel prices vary across states due to differences in VAT rates, transportation costs, and local levies imposed by state governments. Analysts expect petrol and diesel prices to remain volatile amid fluctuations in international crude oil markets and geopolitical tensions impacting global energy supply chains.
