All beneficiaries under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) can collect their October month ration from fair price shops until November 5. As per the directions of the Central Government, an Aadhaar system audit is currently underway at the national level. Due to this ongoing UIDAI audit, the Aadhaar seeding process for NFSA beneficiaries in the state has been temporarily suspended.
Additional Commissioner of the Department of Food and Civil Supplies, Smt. Poonam Sagar, informed that the Aadhaar seeding process will be resumed once the audit is completed, and necessary directions have already been issued by the competent authorities.
She emphasized that ensuring the smooth and uninterrupted supply of ration to NFSA families remains the department’s top priority. The Department of Food and Civil Supplies has ensured that no eligible beneficiary faces any disruption in receiving their entitled food grains under the Public Distribution System (PDS).
Beneficiaries are therefore advised to collect their ration for October from their respective fair price shops by November 5.
