After assuming the office of the Chief Minister of Karnataka, BJP leader BS Yediyurappa is visiting his birthplace Bookanakere in Mandya district today. He will seek blessings of the seer here and visit temples.
On Monday he is seeking the trust vote in the legislative assembly. After the disqualification of three MLAs by the Speaker and 12 Congress and three JD(S) MLAs remaining away from the floor test on Monday, BJP stands to win the trust vote with 105 members.
In the reduced House strength of 207, the required magic number is 104. There is all possibility of lone Independent voting in favor of BJP.
In the legislative meeting held by JD(S) yesterday, a few members expressed a desire to extend outside support to the BJP Government. The party leader G T Devegowda informed that H D Kumaraswamy will take a call on this later.
