Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) ITI, Hyderabad conducted a 28 days long Multi Skilled Technician Training Programme from 18th December 2025 to 16th January 2026 in collaboration with USHA International Limited.
The training programme was designed in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, emphasizing industry-oriented, practical skill development for ITI students. The programme focused on enhancing competencies in maintenance, repair, and operation of modern equipment, addressing the growing demand for skilled technicians in the industrial sector.
Students received hands-on technical instruction and real-time industry exposure at various USHA Service Centres across Hyderabad gaining practical experience in actual work environments during the training.
The Certificate Distribution Ceremony was held on 16 January 2026 at the ITI Building, MANUU. Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice Chancellor, MANUU was the chief guest and Prof. Syed Ishtiaque Ahmed, Registrar, MANUU was the guest of honour.
In his presidential address, Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan emphasized the importance of continuous skill development, stating that every individual must focus on enhancing their skills to achieve professional growth. He highlighted that structured skill enhancement plans are essential for achieving long-term career goals. He appreciated the efforts of Principal ITI in organizing programmes in line with NEP 2020 and advised to invite industries to conduct such type of trainings across all the trades.
Prof. Ishtiaque Ahmed encouraged students to actively participate in such activities whenever organized. Mr. T. Rajkumar, Deputy Manager (South Zone), USHA International Limited, stressed the need for collaborative training programmes, describing them as the “need of the hour” to bridge the gap between education and industry requirements.
Prof. Abdul Wahid, Dean, School of Technology briefed on the various academic and skill-development activities undertaken by ITI Hyderabad. Dr. ArshiaAzam, Principal, ITI, welcomed and presented a detailed report on the Multi Skilled Technician Training Programme.
Dr. Mohammad Yousuf Khan, Principal, Polytechnic Hyderabad & Training and Placement officer along with ITI instructors and staff, were also present during the ceremony. The programme concluded with the distribution of certificates to the trainees, marking a significant step towards strengthening industry-academia collaboration and enhancing employability skills among ITI students.
