AIMA, founded in 1957, is the apex body of India’s management fraternity. It has 68 city and regional management associations as its affiliates. AIMA has been a leader of management and leadership development in the country, and its portfolio of services include management research, consulting, education, testing and executive training. AIMA has a large international footprint with programmes and partners in the US, Europe, and Asia. AIMA is a platform of choice for India’s leaders from the government, business, arts, science & technology, armed forces and academia to share their knowledge and perspective.
Mr Narendran has been with the Tata group for his entire career, and he has been in the mining and metals industry for more than 36 years. He has overseen the organic and inorganic growth of Tata Steel for many years. He is on the boards of Tata Steel Limited and Tata International and he is the Chairman of Tata Steel Europe. He has been elected as Chairman of the World Steel Association for 2024-25. He is also on the boards of governors of Xavier School of Management (XLRI) and Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, and a member of the Council of Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. A distinguished industry statesman and a thought leader, he has been associated with AIMA for many years. He held the positions of AIMA’s Vice President and Senior Vice President earlier.
Mr Vishal Kampani, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, JM Financial is the new AIMA Senior Vice President. Mr Kampani has played a key role in expanding and diversifying JM Financial Group and he has developed its business in the areas of private credit, private equity, capital markets, and housing finance. In a career spanning over two and a half decades, Mr Kampani has played a central role in initiating and executing several landmark and transformational M&A, fund raising, and restructuring transactions. He is a member of SEBI’s Primary Market Advisory Committee. He joined AIMA in 2024 as its Vice President.
Mr Vineet Agarwal, Managing Director, TCI has taken the position of AIMA Vice President for the next one year. He has been associated with AIMA for more than a decade and he was the founding Chairman of AIMA’s Young Leaders Council. An outstanding business leader, he has build TCI into a formidable logistics group.
Mr P Dwarakanath, Former chairman, GSK Consumer Healthcare Ltd, continues as AIMA’s Treasurer. He has held board and advisory positions in many organisations, including the Max and Shriram groups. He has five decades’ experience in HR and corporate governance.
