Bhopal, February 10 — The Madhya Pradesh Council of Ministers, chaired by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, approved a series of major policy and financial decisions aimed at strengthening tribal welfare, women and child development, pension reforms, and rural electrification.
The Cabinet sanctioned ₹7,133.17 crore to continue schemes of the Tribal Affairs and Women & Child Development Departments from FY 2026–27 to FY 2030–31. Key allocations include ₹2,350 crore for the PVTG Nutrition Grant Scheme, ₹1,703.15 crore for the Integrated Hostel Scheme, ₹1,416.91 crore for the CM Rise School Scheme, ₹1,110 crore for Housing Assistance, and ₹522.08 crore for scholarship and fee reimbursement support for SC/ST students. An additional ₹31.03 crore was approved for the Chief Minister COVID-19 Bal Seva Yojana under the Women and Child Development Department.
The Cabinet also approved ₹366.72 crore under the Dharti Aaba Tribal Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan to electrify 63,077 unelectrified households and 650 government institutions. Of this, ₹220.03 crore will be funded by the Centre and ₹146.69 crore by the State. Additionally, ₹97 crore was approved for off-grid electrification of 8,521 remote households using solar and battery systems through the MP Energy Development Corporation.
In administrative reforms, the Cabinet granted a one-time five-year age relaxation for employees of the IT cadre in the High Court and District Courts to participate in current and future technical recruitment processes.
