Bhopal, Feb 18, 2026: The Madhya Pradesh government unveiled a growth-focused budget prioritizing farmers, jobs, and infrastructure across Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and Finance Minister Jagdish Devda announced major allocations for agriculture, fisheries, youth employment, and healthcare while strengthening long-term development.
A major push was given to the fisheries sector with ₹412 crore allocation, aimed at boosting fish production, increasing fishermen’s income, and expanding the Blue Revolution initiative. Farmers will benefit from 1 lakh solar pumps worth ₹3,000 crore, reducing irrigation costs and improving productivity. The government also continues ₹12,000 annual direct support to farmers under combined welfare schemes.
A dedicated fund for Simhastha 2028 in Ujjain has been created to accelerate infrastructure, civic upgrades, and religious tourism preparations. The budget further emphasizes employment generation, youth skill development, healthcare expansion, and major road and connectivity projects to drive economic growth and rural transformation.
