Cooperation Minister Shri Udayalal Anjana said on Wednesday that a five member Vigilance Committee has been constituted to protect the investors of Multi State Credit Co-operative Societies from fraud. He said that Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot had made an announcement in this regard in the budget announcement 2021-22.
Shri Anjana said that in the Vigilance Committee constituted under the chairmanship of Registrar, Co-operative Societies, Special Secretary to the Government, Law (Legislative Drafting) Department, Deputy Inspector General of Police (II) SOG and Privilege, Cooperative Department as member and Additional Registrar, Banking, Co-operative Societies. Member Secretary has been appointed.
The Cooperation Minister said that this committee would do appropriate work to prevent recurrence of scams and irregularities being committed by multi-state cooperative societies. Similarly, this committee will ensure inspection of these credit societies twice a year and inspection of their book of accounts. This committee will be permanent and the administrative department of the committee will be the cooperative department.
