Minister of State for Forest and Environment (Independent Charge), Shri Sanjay Sharma, attended the State-Level Talent Felicitation Ceremony organized by the Vaishnav Brahmin Society in Alwar on Sunday, where he honored the talented children of the community.
Shri Sharma emphasized that the youth play a pivotal role in realizing the vision of a developed India. He stated that providing the younger generation with skills and quality education, and working with the spirit of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” (Together with All, Development for All) is a firm commitment of the state government. He lauded the initiative of honoring talented children by the community, calling it inspirational, as it boosts the morale of both boys and girls.
Highlighting the importance of girls’ education, he said that educated daughters play a crucial role in bringing about social change, and any society can progress in the true sense only by encouraging girls’ education.
The Minister also spoke about the state's efforts toward environmental conservation. He shared that under the “Hariyalo Rajasthan” campaign, 73.5 million saplings were planted across the state last year, and a target of planting 100 million saplings has been set for this year. This goal will be achieved with public participation. He stressed that nature has given us much, and now is the right time to give back by planting trees and protecting the environment. He urged everyone not only to plant trees but also to nurture and care for them.
Shri Sharma extended his best wishes for a bright future to the children and later visited the Government Nursery in Mungaska, where he planted a sapling as part of his daily plantation pledge, sending a strong message of environmental protection.
