Otar Ram Devasi, Minister of State for Panchayati Raj, Rural Development, Civil Defence and Disaster Management, said the State Budget 2026–27 delivers major benefits for both Rajasthan and Sirohi district, calling it “a document of our duty towards 8 crore citizens.” He was addressing a press conference at the Sirohi Circuit House.
He stated that under the guidance of Narendra Modi and the leadership of Bhajan Lal Sharma, the state government is committed to transforming Rajasthan into a developed state and advancing the vision of Developed India by 2047. The minister said the budget focuses on inclusive welfare for women, youth, workers, and farmers.
Budget Size and Focus Areas
The 2026–27 state budget totals Rs 6,10,956 crore, about 41% higher than 2023–24. It is built on key pillars including infrastructure expansion, improved civic amenities, industrial growth and investment promotion, human resource development, social security strengthening, tourism and culture, good governance and digital transformation, agriculture and farmer welfare, animal husbandry and dairy, and green and sustainable development — targeting a $4.3 trillion economy by 2047.
Major Benefits for Sirohi District
The minister highlighted several infrastructure and development projects for Sirohi, including:
Construction of Gautamji–Devavera RCC bridge and multiple road works in Shivganj, Revdar, Pindwara, and Sirohi
Rs 535 crore allocation for the Abu Road–Mandar–Sanchore highway
Installation of 5 tubewells and 10 hand pumps in every विधानसभा constituency
Approval for new 33/11 KV power grid substations
Redevelopment of Sant Sarovar Lake and park at Mount Abu
Opening of science stream at Devnarayan Girls Residential School, Shivganj
Construction of Tribal Girls Hostel at Thandi Beri, Pindwara
Infrastructure upgrades at Sirohi jail, renovation of Luneri Dam, and upgrade of Dabarkala veterinary centre
Cattle shelter strengthening and biodiversity conservation work at Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary
