New Delhi, February 22: Mushir Fatma Nursery School, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) celebrated its Annual Function on 22nd February 2024 with great zest and zeal in the school premises.
The Annual Function is celebrated as “Bachchon ka Mela” and has a theme every year. This year the theme of the fest was “Spring Carnival”. The school was decorated with vibrant and colourful handcrafted items like flowers, butterflies, birds, bees etc. made by the school students, parents and teachers collectively.
Prof. Eqbal Hussain, Hon’ble Offg. Vice Chancellor, JMI was the Chief Guest for the occasion while Dr. Iqtidar Mohd. Khan, Dean F/o Humanities and Languages, Prof. Sara Begum, Dean F/o Education, Dr. Manisha Tripathy Pandey and Prof. Deptt. of Sociology & Hon. Director, Centre for North East Studies & Policy Research (CNESPR) were the Guest of Honour. Principals of various Jamia schools were also present to grace the occasion.
The tiny tots presented a number of cultural events which included a welcome action dance, fancy dress titled “Bloomimg Flowers of Spring”, folk kalbelia group dance and a group dance showcasing the festivals of spring. The performances of the little toddlers were outstanding.
An exhibition was also put up displaying various projects, files and models of the students. Food stalls were put up by the parents of the students which served a wide variety of snacks, savories and desserts.
The Annual Function of the young ones was a successful event in all.
