New Delhi, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) Vice Chancellor, Prof. Mazhar Asif has appointed Dr. Satya Prakash Prasad, Assistant Professor of English, Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities as OSD to the Vice-Chancellor, JMI. Dr. Prasad is a proficient multilingual translator, poet, and critic, with expertise in English literary theory and Indian literature rendered into English. He obtained both his MA and PhD in English from Banaras Hindu University.
Dr. Prasad, prior to his appointment as OSD to to the Vice Chancellor of JMI, served as the Chief Public Information Officer (CPIO) for the Center for Distance and Online Education at JMI. In addition to this role, he has frequently assumed the responsibilities of Acting Controller of Examinations while serving as Assistant Controller of Examinations.
The Vice Chancellor has designated Professor Shakeb Ahmad Khan from the Electrical Engineering Department as the Provost of M.M.A. Jauhar Hall for Boys' Residence. Additionally, Professor Abuzar Khairi from the MMAJ Academy of International Studies has been appointed as the Provost of Dr. Zakir Hussain Hall for Boys' Residence.
Prior to his appointment as the Provost of MMA Johar Hall of Boys' Residence, Prof. Shakeb Ahmad Khan held the positions of Chief Public Information Officer and Nodal Person for the Right to Information at the university. Prof. Abuzar Khairi previously held the position of Senior Warden prior to his appointment as Provost of Dr. Zakir Hussain Hall of Boys' Residence.
Dr. Satya Prakash Prasad, Prof. Shakeb Ahmad Khan and Prof. Abuzar Khairi have expressed their gratitude to Jamia Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mazhar Asif and Registrar Prof. Md Mahtab Alam Rizvi for getting new responsibilities.
