The Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), witnessed a successful event, the TORI-25 (Trends of Robotics in India) on 28th January 2025. The event was organized by The Robotics Society JMI Student Chapter, under the guidance of Prof. Mohd Suhaib, faculty advisor of the society. The event commenced with the inaugural session which was graced by Dr. Raghvendra Singh, an accomplished academic and professional, Prof. Mazhar Asif, Vice Chancellor, JMI, Mr. Faizul Islam, Sr. Er. Mcdermott, and Prof. Md. Mahtab Alam Rizvi, Registrar, JMI, as the Guest of Honor for various events. The event was also graced by Prof. Mini S. Thomas, Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology and Prof. Zulquernain Mallick, Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering.
The inaugural session of TORI-25 featured the felicitation of the respected dignitaries followed by their addresses to the audience, complemented by words of wisdom shared by the Guest of Honors. Post this session, various events were held associated with the field of robotics, namely Model Making Competition, Poster Presentation Competition, and Research Paper Presentation. Enthusiastic and inquisitive participants joined in large numbers to showcase their valuable contributions to this vast field, through various technical competitions. The events were judged by highly experienced faculty members and experts in this research area.
At the end of the evaluation rounds, the valedictory session was held under the august presence of respected dignitaries from Faculty of Engineering and Technology, JMI. The winners of the various competitions were awarded with certificates and cash prizes for their commendable efforts and persistent hard work. The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. Mohd Suhaib, faculty advisor, TRS JMI Student Chapter.
