
Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has introduced four new courses including two master degree and has revived equal number of courses from the academic session 2019-20.
The university has also increased the number of seats in M.Tech. Mechanical Engineering from 18 to 30.
The new master degree courses introduced are Master of Science in Banking and Financial Analytics in Department of Economics with intake of 40 seats and M.Tech. Environmental Science & Engineering (Full Time) programme in conjunction with existing part-time programme with intake of 12 seats.
The university has also introduced P.G. Diploma in Molecular Diagnostics (PGMD-Self Financed) in Multidisciplinary Centre for Research & Studies with intake of 30 seats and Advance Diploma in Turkish Language (part-time) in the MMAJ Academy of International Studies with intake of 20 seats.
Four courses that have been revived are Advanced Diploma in Modern Persian in the D/o Persian with intake of 20 seats, Advanced Diploma in Pashto in the D/o Persian with intake of 10 seats, Diploma program in Uzbek in the MMAJ Academy of International Studies with intake of 10 seats and Certificate in Uzbek in the MMAJ Academy of International Studies with intake of 20 seats.
The university will conduct entrance test for admission in the courses as per the following details:
Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Banking and Financial Analytics- August 17, 2019 (10:00 am- 12noon) Eligibility- Graduate in any subject with 55%marks with Maths/Statistic/Mathematical Economics/Econometrics as one of the subjects in 10+2 level or at degree level.
M.Tech. Environmental Science & Engineering (Full Time)- August 17,2019 ( 2:00pm-4:00pm)
Eligibility- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Metallurgical, Mining, Agricultural Engineering or any other equivalent and relevant degrees in Engineering & Technology only with not less than 60% marks in the absolute system or equivalent grade of 6.75 on a 10 point scale.
P.G. Diploma in Molecular Diagnostics (PGMD- Self-financed) August 18, 2019 (10:00 am to 11:45 am)
Eligibility- B.Sc./B.Tech. in either of the following subjects—(a)Zoology, (b.)Chemistry with Zoology (c.)Bio-Chemistry (d.) Life-Science/Bio-Science (e.) Microbiology or (f.) Biotechnology with minimum 55%marks or equivalent grade.
Advance Diploma in Turkish Language (part-time) – August 17,2019 (10:00am-11:45am)
Eligibility- Senior Secondary/Higher Secondary or equivalent School Certificate with not less than 50% marks in aggregate of best 5 papers along with Diploma in Turkish or B.A. in any discipline with 45%marks in aggregate with Diploma in Turkish language or C-1 Level Tomer course.
Advanced Diploma in Modern Persian- August18,2019 (2:00pm-3:45pm)
Eligibility- B.A. with Persian or Diploma in Modern Persian from a recognized institution with not less than 45% marks in aggregate of best 5 papers.
Advanced Diploma in Pashto- August17,2019 (10:00am-11:45am)
Eligibility- Senior Secondary/Higher Secondary or equivalent School Certificate with not less than 45%marks in aggregate of best 5 papers along with Diploma in Pashto Language.
Diploma program in Uzbek- August 18,2019 (10:00am-11:45am)
Eligibility- Certificate course in Uzbek language from any university or recognized institution along with Senior Secondary School Examination(10+2) with 45%marks in aggregate of best 5 papers or an equivalent qualification from an Indian Educational Board/University or a foreign university.
