Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has received an Equivalence Certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) for its Secondary and Senior Secondary Examinations/certificates of Jamia Millia Islamia schools.
JMI is statutorily empowered to offer school education upto class XII and it has been conducting class X and XII examinations since begining. Some students who passed Xth and XIIth from JMI schools complained about denial of admission by a few schools and colleges on grounds of equivalence.
Students will not face such issues in future with the issuance of the equivalence certificate by the AIU.
