The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has declared the results of JEE Advanced 2026, with 56,880 candidates qualifying for admission to undergraduate programmes across 23 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
Among the top performers, Shubham Kumar from the IIT Delhi zone secured All India Rank (AIR) 1, emerging as the national topper. The IIT Delhi zone further cemented its dominance with Kabir Chhillar securing AIR 2 and Jatin Chahar claiming AIR 3.
In the girls' category, Arohi Deshpande from the IIT Delhi zone emerged as the female topper, securing AIR 77 nationally.
This year, 1,87,389 candidates registered for the examination, while 1,79,694 students appeared for both papers conducted on May 17. Of the successful candidates, 10,107 are female students.
The Common Rank List (CRL) cut-off has been fixed at 84 marks out of 360, while candidates from EWS and OBC-NCL categories required 76 marks to qualify. The qualifying mark for SC, ST and PwD categories has been set at 47 marks.
Qualified candidates will now participate in the JoSAA counselling process for admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs and other centrally funded technical institutions. With the declaration of results and final answer key, the focus now shifts to seat allocation and admissions at India's premier engineering institutions.
