The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has declared the JEE Advanced 2026 results, with Bihar’s Shubham Kumar emerging as the All India Rank (AIR) 1 holder after scoring an impressive 330 out of 360 marks. The IIT Delhi zone dominated the top ranks, with Kabir Chhillar and Jatin Chhahar securing AIR 2 and AIR 3 respectively. Female candidate Arohi Deshpande emerged as the highest-ranked woman candidate with AIR 77.
This year, 1,87,389 candidates registered for the prestigious engineering entrance examination, while 1,79,694 appeared for both papers. A total of 56,880 candidates qualified for admission to undergraduate programmes at the IITs, including 10,107 female candidates.
Candidates who have qualified will now be eligible to participate in the JoSAA counselling process for admissions to 23 IITs and other participating institutions. Registration for counselling is scheduled to begin on June 2 through the official JoSAA portal.
The final answer key and category-wise cut-offs were released along with the results. Under the Common Rank List (CRL), candidates were required to secure a minimum aggregate score of 84 marks out of 360 to qualify.
