Raipur, April 8, 2026: A Van Dhan Vikas Kendra in Panchakki, Jashpur district, has emerged as a strong model of tribal entrepreneurship and forest-based rural livelihoods, helping self-help groups generate more than ₹23 lakh in annual income.
The centre, operating under the Prime Minister Janjatiya Van Dhan Vikas Yojana (PMJVM) with support from Chhattisgarh State Minor Forest Produce Federation (CGMFED) and TRIFED, is enabling tribal communities to move beyond subsistence farming and wage labour through value addition of minor forest produce.
