Omar Abdullah, Mehbooba Mufti, and Sajjad Lone have accepted defeat and congratulated independent candidate Engineer Rashid. The results of this year's Lok Sabha elections in Jammu and Kashmir are turning out to be quite interesting. Voters in Jammu and Kashmir, as well as Ladakh, have turned out in large numbers. Voting was held in six phases for five seats in Jammu and Kashmir and one seat in Ladakh. In Ladakh, there is a tough contest between the BJP and Congress. Meanwhile, Congress did not contest the three seats in Kashmir. Here, a fierce battle is expected between the NC and PDP. The situation will become clear after the Lok Sabha election results are announced today. After Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti, Sajjad Lone has also accepted his defeat.
In the Udhampur and Jammu Lok Sabha seats in Jammu and Kashmir, the BJP is leading by a large margin. In Udhampur, Dr. Jitendra Singh is leading by a margin of 95,805 votes, while in Jammu, Jugal Kishore is ahead by 129,133 votes.
Omar Abdullah said that if I wanted an easy contest, I could have blindly contested the Srinagar seat. If I did not contest from the Baramulla seat, we would not be in the field anywhere. We would have lost that seat blindly.
