Two final year BTech student of the Jamia Hamdard have developed a mobile-based apps “COLLEGIATE” and “Night Cam Simulator” which provides a solution to digital learning and rising safety concerns.
The COLLEGIATE app developed by Rahul Prasad a fourth year engineering student, provides with all the class-notes, reference books, last year question papers, sessional papers, topic wise notes along with mentors who are available 24×7. These mentors are college seniors, from the department who are willing to help through every academic issue.
Aimed and crafted especially for college students, COLLEGIATE mobile application was born out of my need but while trying to figure out my problem, says Rahul the developer of app sharing the concept behind developing it.
The app is available both online and offline and is a collection of all the reliable and authentic study material suggested by professors and also a repository of reference, projects and assignments for students to take a cue from and previous year questions. This application would get its frequent updates in order to match up with the latest information would be constantly filled with new notes and updates.
Once you download the content, it is going to be saved in phone memory and thus, can work equally efficiently without any data connection as well. This app is a revival if you want all of your information at one place, neatly saving a lot of time and efforts. This application ensures that you focus all your attention only to the learning part without being afraid of missing out something relevant, add Rahul.
With the rapid increase in the number of hidden cameras has come a slew of ways to protect privacy and wherein the lack of a reliable way to detect hidden cameras has become a growing concern. A student of Jamia Hamdard has come up with a solution through an app that will help you ferret out hidden cameras .
The Night Cam Simulator app developed by Final Year BTech student Faisal Javed, provide ways to detect hidden cameras in public places. The main objective of this app is to provide a safety medium through an app which can help users find out all types of camera wherever they are, says Faisal and for many travellers, the most worrisome trend is the proliferation of hidden cameras, The app will then let the user know whether a camera was detected, which empowers users to feel safe in their settings adds, Faisal.
It also provides relevant information, such as safety measures for various public places. This will allow users to stay safe from predators and doesn’t require extra equipment for the app to function. The project took 1 month to build where he used the device magnetic sensor to detect cameras after coming in close contact with it. For those cameras with infrared light can be detected using the night cam filter inside the app.
