Due to the incessant rainfall in Jaipur and Jaipur Rural districts, several areas have been waterlogged. The district administration is making every possible effort to drain the water from the affected areas and provide relief to the common people. District Collector Shri Prakash Rajpurohit personally inspected the waterlogged areas on Monday morning.
The District Collector inspected Jawahar Nagar Kachchi Basti, Tilla number 6 and 7, and other waterlogged areas and provided necessary directions to the officials. Considering the possibility of more rainfall in the coming days, the District Collector, on the instructions of the Chief District Education Officer Smt. Manju Sharma, has ordered a holiday for students in all government and private schools in Jaipur and Jaipur Rural districts on August 13.
Incident Commanders appointed for flood control and disaster management in Jaipur and Jaipur Rural are working to drain water from waterlogged areas in their respective areas. They are coordinating with the officials of the concerned departments and are promptly redressing the grievances of the common people.
It is noteworthy that a district-level flood control room has been established to deal with the flood situation, which can be contacted at telephone numbers- 0141-2204475, 0141-2204476, where problems related to Jaipur district and Jaipur Rural district are being resolved promptly by coordinating with the concerned department.
