The Indian National Science Academy (INSA) has selected Dr. Somlata from Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) as a Young Associate in recognition of her outstanding contributions to scientific research in the field of molecular parasitology. Dr. Somlata, a faculty member at Multidisciplinary Centre for Advanced Research and Studies (MACARS), has been acknowledged for her groundbreaking work in endocytic processes of protozoan parasite Entamoeba histolytica, which is a pathogen of concern for our country. Her selection as an INSA Young Associate underscores her potential to drive impactful scientific discoveries and contribute to the nation’s research ecosystem.
