India will host the first-ever Trust and Safety India Festival (TASI) on October 7–8, 2025, in New Delhi, marking a landmark moment in the global digital safety landscape. Announced today at a press conference at Constitution Club of India, the festival bring together over 200 participants from more than 15 countries, including global and national leaders, policymakers, technology experts, advocates, and grassroots changemakers to collaborate and shape the future of online trust, safety, and well-being.
A joint initiative by Centre for Social Research and Trust & Safety Forum, and recognised as the official pre-event to the Government of India's AI Impact Summit 2026, TASI 2025 positions India as a leader in driving responsible innovation and inclusive digital governance. Building on acclaimed editions held in the Netherlands and France, the festival aims to amplify voices from the Global South in shaping global digital safety.
Speaking at the press meet, Dr. Ranjana Kumari, Director, Centre for Social Research and Chairperson of Alliance for Trust and Safety, described the upcoming event as "A Festival of Trust. A Future of Safety." She emphasised, "This festival represents a transformative opportunity to drive innovative solutions that empower individuals and communities in the digital age. India has a unique opportunity to shape safe and inclusive digital spaces that reflect our democratic values. Trust and safety is not just about preventing harm, but about enabling meaningful participation, fostering innovation, and empowering especially women and young people to thrive online. This festival ignites cross-sector collaboration and multistakeholder partnerships, uniting government, industry, and civil society around a shared vision of a safer, trusted, and inclusive digital future where technology benefits all."

The two-day event will feature keynote sessions, panel discussions, and workshops, with distinguished speakers from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Google, Meta, Truecaller, Booking.com, TP, UN Women and Advertising Standards Council of India, among others. The festival has the support of several embassies French, Netherlands, Swedish, Australian, German, Canadian and more. The sessions will provide a dynamic platform to discuss, child protection, digital youth well-being, gender equity and inclusion, and strategies to counter misinformation and online scams. They will also showcase global innovative solutions for various online safety issues.
