Raipur, April 3: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur is set to host its 15th Annual Convocation on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Shabari Maidan on the institute campus, with External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar attending as the Chief Guest. The institute has formally announced that Dr Jaishankar will deliver the convocation address to the graduating batch.
The ceremony will be presided over by Shri Puneet Dalmia, Chairperson of the Board of Governors, IIM Raipur, who will also declare the convocation open and later formally close the proceedings.
According to the official programme schedule, the event will begin with the arrival and reception of the Chief Guest, followed by the academic procession to the convocation hall. The ceremonial proceedings will include the lighting of the lamp, Saraswati Vandana, welcome address by the BoG Chairperson, convocation address by the Chief Guest, award of medals, presentation of the director’s report, conferment of degrees, oath-taking ceremony, and the national anthem.
The Director-in-Charge, Prof. Sanjeev Prashar, will present the institute report and felicitate the Chief Guest during the ceremony. Degrees will be awarded jointly by the Chairperson, BoG, and the Director-in-Charge.
The institute has requested invitees to be seated by 9:45 AM and to carry the invitation card due to security protocols. Guests have also been advised to avoid bringing children to the venue.
