In a move to strengthen its global footprint and foster international academic collaboration, the Indian Institute of Management, Raipur (IIM Raipur) proudly announces a strategic partnership with Germany's HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management under the prestigious Erasmus+ Programme, a flagship initiative of the European Union.
The collaboration with HHL Leipzig represents a significant milestone for both institutions, with the primary objectives being the promotion of a dynamic academic environment, facilitation of cultural exchange, and the provision of enriching opportunities for students, faculty, and staff members. This partnership, facilitated through the Erasmus+ agreement, opens avenues for diverse academic initiatives, ranging from student exchanges to collaborative research projects.
Prof. Ram Kumar Kakani, Director of IIM Raipur said, "This collaboration with HHL Leipzig marks a crucial step in our mission to create a globally connected learning environment. We believe that the exchange of ideas, knowledge, and experiences is integral to shaping well-rounded leaders of tomorrow."
Amidst the challenges posed by the pandemic, IIM Raipur has redoubled its efforts to revitalize international student and faculty exchanges. Spearheaded by the International Relations (IR) office and the MBA Students’ Committee, the institute has embarked on a transformative journey, developing a comprehensive roadmap for multi-level academic exchange with leading business management institutions worldwide.
In addition to the collaboration with HHL Leipzig, IIM Raipur has renewed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with Y Schools of France and Solbridge of South Korea, solidifying its commitment to existing global partnerships. The enhanced collaboration with Solbridge is part of IIM Raipur's 'Look-East’ initiative, sending MBA students to South Korea for the first time.
Further expanding its international engagement, IIM Raipur is actively exploring academic collaboration possibilities with the Fox School of Business Management at Temple University, Philadelphia, USA. The institute's Director, Prof. Ram Kumar Kakani, recently visited the Fox School of Business to strengthen ties, with ongoing discussions to establish a joint case publication house.
Continuing its commitment to diversity and cross-cultural connections, IIM Raipur is hosting students from Kazan National Research Technological University, Russia, who will be studying for a complete term at the institute.
The International Relations office of IIM Raipur has also initiated the IR Dialogue series, a platform for insightful conversations on emerging trends in international business. The series commenced with a guest lecture by Mr. Vipin Agrawal, Managing Partner of AG Management Advisory, UAE.
Empowered by the relentless efforts of the IR office and its students' IR Committee, IIM Raipur is sending 28 students on outbound international academic exchanges this year, marking a substantial increase from previous years. The institute is steadfast in its commitment to creating more international academic exchange opportunities, solidifying its position as a globally recognized knowledge center for management education.
