Dehradun, Uttarakhand: IIM Kashipur has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Panchayati Raj Department, Government of Uttarakhand, under the centrally sponsored Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA). The MoU was formalised in Dehradun by Ms Nidhi Yadav, Director, Panchayati Raj, Uttarakhand, and Prof. Kunal Ganguly, Dean (Development), IIM Kashipur.
The collaboration aims to facilitate capacity-building programmes for elected representatives and officials of Panchayati Raj Institutions. The initiatives will focus on strengthening leadership, governance, digital enablement, participatory planning, financial management, and modern administrative practices.
Speaking on the occasion, IIM Kashipur highlighted that the partnership underscores the institute’s commitment to public leadership, grassroots development, and nation-building through high-impact training and knowledge support.
This alliance is expected to empower local governance bodies, enhancing their efficiency and enabling them to better serve communities across Uttarakhand.
