As the counting of votes for the Bihar Assembly Election 2025 continues, all eyes are once again on political strategist-turned-leader Prashant Kishor (PK). His party, Jan Suraaj, which contested all 243 seats, is struggling to make a mark—raising the big question:
Will Prashant Kishor now announce his retirement from politics?
Why This Question Has Surfaced
During the election campaign, Prashant Kishor repeatedly claimed that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s JDU would not win more than 25 seats. He even went as far as saying:
“If JDU wins more than 25 seats, I will quit politics.”
However, the early Election Commission trends show a completely different picture—
JDU is leading on more than 60 seats, far exceeding PK’s prediction.
This old statement is now going viral across social media.
PK’s Claims That Failed Earlier
This is not the first time Prashant Kishor has made bold political forecasts that did not materialize.
1. 2024 Lok Sabha Elections
PK had claimed that if JDU contested as part of the INDIA bloc or the Mahagathbandhan, it would not win more than five seats. It turned out to be incorrect, forcing him to issue a public apology.
2. BJP Seat Prediction (2024)
He had also predicted that BJP would win 300 seats in the Lok Sabha elections.
But BJP ended up winning 240 seats, significantly short of that number.
3. Tej Pratap Yadav Prediction
PK also asserted that Tej Pratap Yadav would contest only on an RJD ticket, claiming this prediction could be taken “in writing”—which also failed to hold true.
What Happens Now?
With Jan Suraaj showing no major performance across the 243 seats and JDU crossing the threshold PK had set for himself, speculation is rising over whether Prashant Kishor will indeed announce his exit from politics.
For now, PK has maintained silence, while political observers await his response once the final results are declared.
