Nagpur / Aurangabad | July 17, 2024: Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF) the CSR arm of Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) flagged-off Mobile Chikitsa units under its Sparsh Sanjeevani healthcare initiative in Nagpur and Aurangabad districts of Maharashtra. The initiative was inaugurated by Shri. Girish Mahajan, Minister - Rural Development & Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of Maharashtra, at a special event.
Commenting on the roll-out of Mobile Chikitsa Units in Maharashtra, Mr. Puneet Anand, AVP & Vertical Head - Corporate Affairs, HMIL said, “A healthy population is the first requisite for holistic development. In-line with Hyundai’s global vision of ‘Progress for Humanity’, HMIF’s Sparsh Sanjeevani Mobile Chikitsa Units aim to positively impact remote and underserved areas of Nagpur and Aurangabad districts. Specialized Hyundai Mighty vans converted into Mobile Chikitsa units are equipped with state-of-the art amenities, and will move around rural areas of these districts, offering pro-active diagnostics and free medical consultations directly to those in need.”
About Sparsh Sanjeevani Mobile Chikitsa Units:
Mobile Chikitsa Units under the Sparsh Sanjeevani initiative operate in remote rural regions, providing access to primary medical care in far-flung villages which lack primary healthcare facilities in the vicinity.
Each specialized Mobile Chikitsa unit is manned by a qualified MBBS doctor, providing free consultation and medicines. The units are also equipped with the latest medical test facilities and diagnostic tools, for medical diagnosis covering blood sugar, blood pressure, malaria, dengue, etc. to name a few.
