Star Indian sprinter Hima Das continued her impressive run, clinching her fourth gold medal in a fortnight by winning the 200m race at the Tabor Athletics Meet yesterday.
Hima clocked 23.25 seconds to finish on top in a race that featured a relatively modest field, with most competitors representing local Czech clubs.
Her compatriot V. K. Vismaya secured second place with a season-best timing of 23.43 seconds.
Hima’s personal best in the 200m stands at 23.10 seconds. The 19-year-old has now won four gold medals since July 2, marking a dominant start to her European competitive circuit.
In the men’s 400m event, Muhammad Anas won the race with a timing of 45.40 seconds. Fellow Indian athletes Tom Noah Nirmal finished second with a season-best 46.59 seconds, while K. S. Jeevan secured third place at 46.60 seconds. M. P. Jabir finished fourth with a timing of 47.16 seconds.
