Veteran actress and BJP MP Hema Malini expressed strong disapproval over the circulation of false news regarding the health of a person currently undergoing treatment. In a post shared on social media platform X, she criticized certain media channels for spreading misinformation and called their actions “unforgivable.”
“What is happening is unforgivable! How can responsible channels spread false news about a person who is responding to treatment and is recovering? This is being extremely disrespectful and irresponsible,” she wrote, urging the media to show sensitivity during such times.
Malini further appealed to the press to respect the family’s privacy, emphasizing that unverified reports not only cause distress but also violate basic standards of journalistic ethics.
Her statement comes amid widespread speculation surrounding the health condition of a senior film industry personality, with several outlets publishing conflicting reports.
