GMR Airports Limited (GAL) announced its audited FY26 financial results on May 26, 2026, delivering record passenger traffic, strong EBITDA growth, and its first positive annual Profit After Tax (PAT) in more than 10 years. The company also reported major expansion progress across Delhi, Hyderabad, Goa, and Bhogapuram airports.
𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 (𝗙𝗬26):
- Total Income rose 40% YoY to ₹15,201 Cr.
- EBITDA surged 47% YoY to a record ₹6,150 Cr.
- Delhi and Hyderabad airports achieved their highest-ever annual EBITDA.
- Profit After Tax (PAT) stood at ₹472 Cr, marking the company’s first positive annual PAT in over a decade.
𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 & 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗼 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰:
GAL-owned airports handled a record 121.6 million passengers during FY26. 📈
Key airport performance:
- Delhi Airport (DIAL): Record 78.7 million passengers handled.
- Hyderabad Airport (GHIAL): Highest-ever annual traffic at 30.5 million passengers.
- Mopa Airport (Goa): Passenger traffic reached a record 5.4 million.
Cargo operations also witnessed strong growth:
- Delhi Airport handled its highest-ever cargo volume of around 1.15 MMT.
- Hyderabad Airport processed around 1.87 lakh metric tonnes of cargo.
𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀
𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗵𝗶 𝗔𝗶𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁:
- Pier C at Terminal 3 was converted into an international facility, boosting capacity by 50%.
- Wide-body aircraft stand availability increased by around 40%.
- GAL awarded a concession to upgrade Cargo Terminal 1.
𝗛𝘆𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗱 𝗔𝗶𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁:
- Cargo Terminal 2 was commissioned.
- GHIAL declared an interim dividend of ₹7.5 per share.
- US dollar debt refinancing through ₹21 billion NCDs is expected to reduce interest costs.
- CRISIL revised GHIAL’s outlook to “Positive”.
𝗕𝗵𝗼𝗴𝗮𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗔𝗶𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁:
- Construction is progressing steadily, with operational launch targeted in Q2 FY27.
𝗔𝗶𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗔𝗱𝗷𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 & 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁:
- Duty Free operations at Delhi and Hyderabad airports continued to scale up.
- Development activity accelerated across Aerocity (Delhi) and Hyderabad SEZ projects, including office spaces, hotels, and retail infrastructure.
- GMR Aero Technic signed a strategic agreement with Boeing Defence India for maintenance support of Indian Navy P-8I aircraft.
𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 & 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
- Delhi Airport won the ASQ “Best Airport” award in departures category for airports handling over 40 million passengers.
- Hyderabad Airport received ASQ recognition for “Best Airport” in arrivals.
- Skytrax 2026 ranked Delhi Airport #28 globally and Best Airport in India & South Asia for the eighth consecutive year.
- Hyderabad Airport ranked #43 globally and received Best Airport Staff Service recognition in India & South Asia.
- Mopa Airport was awarded Best Airport under 5 million passengers and Cleanest Airport in India & South Asia.
