Today is the closing of the 14th Conference of Parties under the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification. The core agenda of the Conference is to reverse land degradation and its outcomes while accelerating positive achievements for people and for ecosystems.
The 12 day Conference has seen quality dialogues and stronger partnership to address land degradation and mitigating climate change.
Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Prakash Javadekar will announce the outcomes of the conference later this afternoon. The ‘Delhi Declaration’ will also be adopted by the parties later today.
