New Delhi, January 9: Students, teachers and alumni of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) actively participated in the Art Festival organised by the Ministry of Culture, Lalit kala academy and NDMC on 7th January, 2024, under the “Viksit Bharat Ambassador, 100 day Challenge”. Students from all Departments of the Faculty, from foundation level to PhD Scholars, as well as alumni came together to ignite and produce expressive manifestations of Viksit Bharat. They not only participated in the thought- proving and ingenious event but they acted as an integral and prolific part of it.
The event was unique, and magnificent in all its glory, one of the firsts of its kind, where high school students, college students, as well as professional artists came together to celebrate the “Badhte Kadam of Viksit Bharat”, a presence of 2400 artists together manifested creative excellence, and surely started the year with pure aesthetical profoundness.
The event brew some great conversations between senior and budding future artists of India, where the young, freshly uprooted artists could observe the masterstrokes and conceptual geniouseness of the Sr. Professional artists, and the Sr. artists lived the rhythmic eagerness of learning and exploring through the the eyes of College, as well as High school youthful artists.
The Faculty members of JMI namely, Dean Prof. Bindulika Sharma, Mr. Shah Abul Faiz, Mr. Shahid Jawed, Ms. Deeba, Mr Munner, Ms Dhrupadi, and Mr. Arobindo, also came together to encourage the students, be a part of this ground breaking event, and also to dip in the sea of creativity and flow to the the bright, colourful and innovative future of India.
Prof. Dr. Bindulika Sharma, and Mr.Shah Abul Faiz were also a part of the jury for this event.
