New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the results of the written part of the Engineering Services (Main) Examination, 2019, conducted on June 30, 2019. Candidates whose roll numbers have been listed by the Commission have qualified for the next stage of the selection process—the Interview/Personality Test.
The Commission clarified that the candidature of all qualified candidates remains provisional and subject to verification of eligibility conditions, including age, educational qualifications, category certificates, and benchmark disability certificates, wherever applicable.
Detailed Application Form Mandatory
UPSC has directed all shortlisted candidates to mandatorily fill and submit the Detailed Application Form (DAF) online. The DAF will be available on the Commission's portal from August 5 to August 14, 2019, up to 6:00 PM.
Candidates must first register on the UPSC online portal before completing the DAF and uploading scanned copies of supporting documents related to eligibility, reservation claims, and other required certificates.
The Commission has warned that failure to submit the DAF within the stipulated period will result in cancellation of candidature.
Original Documents Required
Qualified candidates will be required to produce original certificates supporting their claims regarding age, educational qualifications, caste category, and disability status at the time of the Personality Test.
UPSC emphasized that candidates who fail to present the required original documents during the interview process will not be allowed to appear before the Personality Test Board. No travel allowance (TA) will be granted in such cases.
Interviews Likely from September
The Personality Test is expected to commence from September 2019 onwards. Individual interview schedules and e-summon letters will be issued separately to candidates. The roll number-wise interview schedule will also be published on the Commission's website.
UPSC stated that requests for changes in the date or time of the Personality Test will not be entertained under any circumstances.
Mark Sheets to Be Released After Final Result
The Commission said that mark sheets of candidates who do not qualify will be uploaded on the UPSC website after the final results are declared following completion of the Personality Test process. These marks will remain available online for 30 days.
Candidates will be able to access their mark sheets using their roll number and date of birth. Printed copies may also be obtained by submitting a formal request along with a self-addressed stamped envelope within 30 days of publication.
Facilitation and Helpdesk Support
UPSC's Facilitation Counter at its New Delhi campus will assist candidates seeking information related to the examination and results on working days between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
Candidates facing difficulties while filling the online DAF can also contact the Commission's designated helpdesk numbers during office hours.
