Jaipur, February 2:
Minister of State for Public Works, Dr. Manju Baghmar, on Monday addressed a press conference at the Nagaur Collectorate auditorium, describing the Union Budget 2026–27 as a historic, visionary, and inclusive document that lays a strong foundation for achieving the goal of a Developed India by 2047. She said the budget presents a concrete roadmap to make India self-reliant, prosperous, and empowered.
Dr. Baghmar highlighted that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presenting the budget for the ninth consecutive time is a major milestone in parliamentary history. She noted that this is the first budget of the second quarter of the 21st century, which firmly sets the groundwork for transforming India into a developed nation by 2047. She also pointed out that India has now emerged as the world’s seventh-largest exporter in the services sector.
Through the media, Dr. Baghmar conveyed to the public that the budget is a strong step toward inclusive development, economic empowerment, and the realisation of the Viksit Bharat vision. She said the interests of youth, farmers, women, the poor, and the middle class have been given special attention.
She further stated that by prioritising education, healthcare, infrastructure, job creation, innovation, and digital empowerment, the budget provides a clear roadmap to accelerate economic growth. Provisions aimed at increasing farmers’ income, empowering women, and creating new opportunities for youth further strengthen the foundation for India’s bright and sustainable future, she added.
