Jaipur, February 06, 2026: Dausa received a major urban infrastructure boost with the inauguration of a ₹19 crore Captain Chhuttan Lal Meena Town Hall, launch of a 1,200-plot residential scheme, and distribution of ₹2.51 crore in loans to women under Rajeevika SHGs.
The Town Hall, built at a cost of ₹19 crore, has seating capacity for 700 people and is expected to emerge as a key venue for cultural and government events. Officials said a usage policy with a fixed fee structure is being finalized, after which private organisations and community groups will also be able to use the facility.
During the event, Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Dr. Kirodi Lal Meena and Urban Development Minister of State Jhabar Singh Kharra also launched the UIT’s first residential colony — Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Nagar. The scheme offers around 1,200 plots, with 300 plots reserved in Phase-1, to be allotted through a lottery system. Applications are available online via the UIT website.
The planned township will feature an 8-hectare stadium, wide road network, green belts, parks, and modern civic infrastructure, positioning it as an environmentally aligned urban expansion project. Authorities indicated plot numbers may be increased depending on demand.
The ministers highlighted broader regional development, including improved connectivity, water supply expansion, and infrastructure projects, while emphasizing accelerated urban growth for Dausa.
