Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma emphasized that farmers are the builders of the nation and the soul of India. “When farmers toil day and night in their fields, only then do we have food on our plates,” he said, highlighting that the term Annadata reflects the dignity and importance of farmers in society. He asserted that a prosperous farmer leads to a prosperous state and nation, and the double-engine government is tirelessly working for farmers’ welfare.
During the state-level event in Nadbai (Bharatpur), CM Sharma transferred ₹718 crore to 7.2 million farmers as the fourth installment of the Chief Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme. He noted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the central government launched the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, providing over ₹7,031 crore to Rajasthan’s farmers in the last two years. The state government adds ₹3,000 annually per farmer under the CM scheme, supplementing the central government’s ₹6,000, bringing total assistance to ₹9,000 per farmer per year. So far, over ₹8,386 crore has been disbursed jointly by the Centre and the state.
The Chief Minister also shared updates on various agricultural welfare efforts:
