Rajasthan Chief Secretary Shri V. Srinivas on Saturday visited Jawahar Kala Kendra and reviewed the ongoing solo art exhibition ‘Melody of Colors’ by renowned watercolor artist Dr. Sushma Mahajan, appreciating the depth and aesthetic quality of the artworks on display.
The exhibition, being held from January 17 to 19, features around 60 watercolor paintings, including 22 new works created specially for this showcase. The collection also includes select artworks previously exhibited in Paris, Jaipur, and New Delhi.
Dr. Mahajan’s paintings span a wide range of themes such as temple art, animals and birds, architecture, floral compositions, landscapes, vintage creations, and still life. Her recent works draw strong inspiration from Hoysala and Chola temple architecture, reflecting a thoughtful exploration of form, rhythm, structure, and balance.
The artworks are widely admired for their harmonious color palettes, fine detailing, and serene emotional expression, reaffirming Dr. Mahajan’s stature as a distinguished figure in contemporary watercolor art.
