Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai attended the ‘Chhattisgarh Tech Start’ program held at Mayfair Hotel in Naya Raipur today. Addressing the gathering, he said that the event is a significant initiative to promote innovation and technological entrepreneurship in the state. On this occasion, he felicitated the winners of ‘Ideathon 2025’ and presented partnership exchange agreements to entities collaborating with the Government of Chhattisgarh. The Chief Minister also extended greetings to experts, entrepreneurs, and dignitaries present at the event on the occasion of the state’s silver jubilee year.
The Chief Minister said that visionary Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has always inspired the nation to set and achieve ambitious goals. Taking inspiration from his vision of a ‘Developed India’, the state government has set a target to achieve a ‘Developed Chhattisgarh’ by 2047 and has already prepared a vision document for the same. He noted that under the Prime Minister’s leadership, India is home to thousands of startups, many of which have become unicorns. The Chief Minister reaffirmed that the state government is fully committed to nurturing the spirit of entrepreneurship among the youth.
He emphasized that the youth of Chhattisgarh possess an extraordinary ability to succeed even in challenging circumstances. He cited the examples of Akanksha Satyavanshi, physiotherapist of the Indian women’s cricket team, and Squadron Leader Gaurav Patel, who piloted a fighter plane at the Naya Raipur Aero Show, bringing pride to the state.
Highlighting government initiatives, he said that over 350 reforms have been implemented to strengthen the Ease of Doing Business and Single Window System, making Chhattisgarh one of the most attractive states for investment. Along with industrial development, the state is also advancing rapidly in the IT and ITeS sectors.
The Chief Minister shared that the recently held ‘Ideathon 2025’ received over 1,800 startup ideas from across the state, including significant participation from youth in remote areas. The government, he said, will provide these innovators with a platform, mentorship, and financial support. He also mentioned that efforts are underway to develop Raipur as a hub for IT and technology services, with major projects like an AI Data Center Park and a Semiconductor Plant in progress. So far, the state has received investment proposals worth over ₹7.5 lakh crore.
