Raipur, April 6, 2026:
The Chhattisgarh government has granted a revised administrative approval of ₹279.18 lakh for the construction of a divisional office building, two sub-divisional offices, and residential quarters for executive and sub-divisional officers in Mungeli district.
The project will come up on government land located at village Karhi/Dharampura in Mungeli block, and is aimed at strengthening the district’s administrative infrastructure to improve the efficiency and convenience of official operations.
Under the approved plan, the government will develop one divisional office, two sub-divisional office buildings, and official residential accommodation for senior field officers, creating an integrated administrative complex for smoother governance delivery in the region.
Officials said the expenditure for the project will be met under the Scheduled Caste Sub-Plan through the major irrigation head.
The government has directed that the construction must be completed within the sanctioned cost and stipulated timeline, while making it mandatory to obtain technical approval from the competent authority before commencement of work.
Authorities have also been instructed to ensure that the tendering process remains transparent, competitive, and fully compliant with government procurement rules.
The drawing and design plans will require prior approval from the competent authority, and tenders will be invited only after ensuring the availability of sufficient encumbrance-free land.
In case land acquisition becomes necessary, officials have been told to keep the expenditure strictly within the approved financial limit; otherwise, the construction is to be carried out entirely on government land.
The state government has further stressed the need for cost efficiency, high construction quality, and strict financial discipline throughout execution.
It warned that any compromise in quality at any stage will invite action against the concerned officials as per rules. The project must also be completed within the contractual deadline, and unnecessary extensions will not be permitted.
