N. Chandrababu Naidu, the National President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), took the oath of office as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh for his second consecutive term. Governor S. Abdul Nazeer administered the oath on June 12 at Kesarapalle near Gannavaram, close to Vijayawada. This marks Mr. Naidu's fourth tenure as Chief Minister, spanning over four decades in his political career. He previously served twice as Chief Minister of the united Andhra Pradesh and now for the second time in the state of Andhra Pradesh after its bifurcation.

The swearing-in ceremony witnessed the presence of dignitaries including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, former Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, J.P. Nadda, the Minister of Medical and Health and also the President of BJP, Union Ministers G. Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay, former Chief Justice of India N.V. Ramana, as well as popular film stars Rajinikanth and Chiranjeevi, among a plethora of other notable personalities.
