The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday declared the Class 10 Board Result 2026, bringing relief and excitement to more than 25 lakh students across India. The results were announced earlier than the board’s usual May schedule and are now available on multiple official platforms, including results.cbse.nic.in, DigiLocker, and the UMANG app.
Students faced some initial delays on the main website due to heavy traffic, but scorecards became accessible soon after across alternate digital channels. DigiLocker and UMANG emerged as the fastest options during the result rush, helping students download their provisional marksheets without waiting for the website to stabilise.
This year, 25,08,319 students appeared for the CBSE Class 10 board examinations, including 14,08,546 boys and 10,99,773 girls. The exams were conducted between February 17 and March 11 in a single shift beginning at 10:30 am, covering 83 subjects across 8,075 centres nationwide.
CBSE’s revised academic framework has enabled an earlier evaluation cycle this year. The faster declaration is also linked to the board’s new two-phase examination model, under which students will get another opportunity to improve scores in up to three subjects during Phase 2 exams scheduled from May 15 to June 1, 2026.
The Phase 1 result is crucial, as it determines student eligibility for these improvement exams within the same academic year, offering greater flexibility and reducing the pressure of one-time performance.
Students are advised to keep their roll number, school number, admit card ID, and date of birth ready while checking their marks. Those with APAAR-linked DigiLocker accounts can directly access their marksheets under the ‘Issued Documents’ section, while others can log in using standard credentials.
CBSE has also enabled SMS-based result services to ensure students in areas with limited internet connectivity can access their scores without disruption.
