BJP and Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) have sealed a deal to form a new government in Haryana. Under the alliance, the Chief Minister will be from the BJP side while JJP will get Deputy Chief Minister’s post. This was announced by BJP President Amit Shah last night after meeting with JJP leader Dushyant Chautala in New Delhi.
The leaders of the two parties will meet Haryana Governor in Chandigarh today to stake claim to form the new government. Mr Chautala said it was important for the BJP and JJP to come together to give a stable government in the state. Earlier, Dushyant Chautala arrived at the residence of Amit Shah in the National Capital. Later, the alliance was announced in the presence of incumbent Chief Minister Manohar Lal, Dushyant Chautala and other leaders.
The newly-elected BJP MLAs will meet in Chandigarh today to elect their leader. Talking to reporters in New Delhi, BJP State Incharge, Anil Jain said, after the legislature party meeting, BJP will meet the Governor to stake a claim for the new government in the state. He said, Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and senior party leader Arun Singh will be the Central Observers at the meeting.
