As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, Bank of India contributed a water cooler, fridge, and electric sewing machines to Cheshire Home, Ranchi, supporting both daily operations and skill-development programs for residents.
Mr. Atanu Kumar Das, Managing Director and CEO of Bank of India, visited the home, interacted with the residential trainees, elderly, and children, and appreciated the welfare work undertaken at the institution. The bank’s Executive Director Swarup Dasgupta, National Banking Group General Manager Bikram Kesari Mishra, and other senior officials were also present. The children welcomed the guests with a musical anthem, while Sister George, representing Cheshire Home, expressed gratitude for the support.
Founded in 1968, Cheshire Home serves as a rehabilitation and vocational training institute for physically challenged men, women, and children. Currently, it houses over 60 inmates from marginalized backgrounds, offering education, vocational training, and medical care to ensure holistic support for its residents.
