17th March 2022 : In honour of International Women’s Day this year, Bank of India, one of the country’s premier public sector banks, organised a special health camp on March 11 for all its female employees to create awareness about the importance of health and wellness and its role in building successful careers.
The health camp was inaugurated by Bank of India Managing Director and CEO A.K. Das.
International Women’s Day is an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the role of women in Indian society and their significant contributions in various fields such as socio-economic development, the corporate world, and banking and finance.
Bank of India celebrated International Women’s Day at its HeadOffice in Bandra-Kurla Complex, Mumbai,in the presence of Executive Directors M. Karthikeyan and Monika Kalia. The latter spoke to the women staff on this year’s International Women’s Day theme ‘Gender Equality Today for a More Sustainable Tomorrow’, which was followed by an interactive session with the audience.
During the programme Anupama Shenoy, AssistantProfessor of Communications, D.Y. Patil University, Navi Mumbai, spoke on ‘The Secret to Empowering Oneself’, while Alpana Singh, Country Head – Bancassurance, Bajaj Allianz, launched a motor insurance scheme for Bank of India’s female employees and customersin a corporate agency agreement for the distribution of Bajaj Allianz General Insurance’s products through the bank’s network.
