Awadh Ojha, known for coaching young aspirants to become IAS and IPS officers, has lost the election from the Patparganj Assembly seat by a huge margin of 28,072 votes. Despite his reputation as a mentor for Civil Services aspirants, Ojha Sir failed to make an impact in politics.
He contested the election on an AAP (Aam Aadmi Party) ticket from the Patparganj Assembly seat, where the counting of all rounds is now complete. BJP candidate Ravindra Singh Negi secured a total of 74,060 votes, while Awadh Ojha received only 45,988 votes, resulting in a significant defeat.
When early trends showed Ojha trailing, a user commented, "Looks like Sir won’t become a king." This was in reference to an earlier statement made by Awadh Ojha about contesting elections, which social media users later linked to his performance and trolled him.
When Did Awadh Ojha Join Politics?
Awadh Ojha joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on December 2, 2024. Since his entry into the party, speculations were rife that he would contest the Delhi Assembly elections. AAP fielded him from the Patparganj constituency, but he has now faced a significant defeat.

Awadh Ojha hails from Gonda, Uttar Pradesh. His full name is Awadh Pratap Ojha, but among UPSC aspirants, he is popularly known as "Ojha Sir."
